An Auburn University graduate, class of 1979, Rick holds a BS in Accounting. After graduation Rick joined Coopers Lybrand, a Big 8 International Public Accounting firm, where he worked as a CPA in the audit/tax division for 8 years. Rick then moved to Cushman and Wakefield as a Vice President in international commercial real estate, in charge of property management, finance and administration
Rick joined Peach State in 1995. He has served as Chairman of the Freightliner Dealer Council and as a member of the Executive Committee of the Georgia Motor Trucking Association. Rick achieved national recognition as the ATD dealer of the year in 2018 and was most recently recognized as a top five finalist for Successful Dealer of the Year award, by TPS, a Randall Reilly industry publication.

Greg has 25 + years’ experience in the commercial truck industry. He began his career as a controller for a dealership group in Utah and quickly transitioned into the CFO role. After 17 years there, he moved into a consultant role for KEA Advisors, where he remained for five years. Greg then spent the next four years as CFO for a large truck dealership in Seattle prior to joining Peach State in August of 2021.

Greg has served on several dealer advisory boards including DMS and dealer facility advisory boards. He graduated with his accounting degree from the University of Utah and with his MBA from Weber State University. Greg also completed the Executive Dealer Leadership Program at UCLA.

Greg joined Peach State Truck Centers in September of 2013. He is a certified public accountant, graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and comes to Peach State after 12 years with CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, where he was the national partner in charge of commercial truck and trailer dealerships. Greg is a graduate of the American Truck Dealer Academy and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Missouri State Board of Accountancy, and Georgia State Board of Accountancy.

An Auburn University alumni and ATD Dealer Academy graduate, Burke began in the Commercial truck industry as a Used Truck Salesman before moving up to Used Truck Sales Manager, General Manager and VP of Strategic Growth. He enjoys Auburn Football, being at the lake, and spending time with his family.

Jim Elliott has 20+ years industry experience. He grew up working in his family's used truck dealership and has been doing it ever since. Prior to coming to the Peach State family, Jim was the General Manager of two Freightliner corporate-owned SelecTrucks locations in Cleveland and Atlanta. Following his stint there he became the President of Four Rivers Peterbilt group.

In 2010 Jim took over as General Manager of the Peach State Freightliner location in Jefferson, GA. In his career, Jim has received many accolades for his success and experience. Jim graduated from the ATD/NADA Candidate Academy in 2005, from the Paccar Institute for Managerial Leadership. He has also been recognized by Daimler Trucks Remarketing a total of seven times.

Shanna Kearns

Shanna started in the heavy equipment rental business in 1991. After that, her dealership career took her to Freightliner of Arizona where she spent 20 years, ending as Controller. She then spent the next four in a half years as Corporate Controller for a large International dealer in Phoenix. Her total dealership knowledge has been a combined 30+ years. During this time, she has led multiple DMS conversions, which has been no easy task. Shanna is supported by her husband of 30 years and three boys ages 25, 20 and 16. As a family they enjoy boating, sand dunes, camping and hunting together.

After attending Arizona State, Casey headed to San Diego where he joined a small start-up company called Procede Software. In 2003, he was one of six on a team that would end up contributing to the development of a company that today provides dealership management software for the majority of Freightliner® dealership groups across North America.

Casey moved to Georgia from San Diego to join Peach State Truck Centers to help with integrating Procede and several other technologies into the business as the company moves to become the commercial vehicle dealer of the future. Casey is a well-traveled man, having visited 48 states and lived in three throughout his life.

Bill Garrett, SPHR

Vice President of Human Resources
Bill has over 30 years of HR/Payroll and Organizational Development experience. He has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia and has done graduate work in Facilities Management at Georgia Tech. He holds a current certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources - SPHR. He has held senior level HR positions in various industries including high tech, multi-family housing management, manufacturing and logistics. In addition to his work in Human Resources, Bill has also held the position of adjunct instructor at the Georgia Institute of Technology where he taught a masters level course in Organizational Behavior/Development.

Bill joined Peach State Truck Centers in September of 2012 and is responsible for all HR/OD and Payroll functions in the organization.

Chris has been in the commercial truck dealer industry since 2000 when he graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Consumer Economics. He got his start in truck sales at Nextran in Atlanta, then went to work as a Sales Manager for People's United Equipment Finance Corp. in their waste division. In 2012 he took a position with MHC Truck Leasing, where he eventually became the District Manager for Georgia. Chris came to Peach State in 2017 as a new truck sales professional at Forest Park. Five months later he was appointed General Manager of Birmingham Freightliner.

Jeff Cook was named Vice President of Sovereign Trailers 2026. Jeff joined Peach State in 2012 and has served as a Fleet Sales Representative, General Manager of the Thomas Bus Division, Director of New Truck Sales, Vice President of New Truck Sales, and Vice President of Parts.

Before Peach State, Jeff worked for American LaFrance as the Vice President of their Commercial Truck Division. And prior to that Jeff served as Regional Sales Manager for Heil Environmental Industries. Jeff’s ample sales experience throughout his career has made him an important asset for Peach State, as well as a great leader for his employees.

Jeff holds a BBA in Marketing from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA. He enjoys spending time with his wife Sharon, his three grown children and their families, especially the five grandsons and one granddaughter.
